Welcome to the Pradhan Lab
The major focus of the Pradhan Lab is to understand how opioid receptors regulate chronic pain and headache disorders. Our lab was the first group to develop a preclinical model of chronic migraine, which we used to identify the delta opioid receptor as a novel therapeutic target for this disorder. We are currently working with academic and industry partners to develop delta agonists for the treatment of migraine and opioid use disorder. In addition, our lab is interested in identifying novel mechanisms of migraine and pain chronification.
